Umpire and Referee Courses

At Taekwondo Council UK, we prioritise the growth and development of our members by offering complimentary* Umpire and Referee Courses.
These courses, available to all our eligible full members, are designed to equip individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to officiate at various levels of competition. With three distinct levels of qualification available, participants have the opportunity to progress and excel in their roles.
We understand the invaluable contribution of volunteers in ensuring the smooth functioning of competitions, and thus, offering these courses free of charge is our humble way of giving back to our community.
By empowering our members with the expertise they need, we aim to foster a supportive and thriving environment within the Taekwondo community.
*Courses are provided at no cost to full members, while non-members are welcome to attend for a fee of £15. £15 deposit is taken from members which is refunded after the course to ensure attendance. 

Eligibility: This course is Open to participants aged 12+ who hold a Red Belt, or 14+ who hold a Blue Belt and above. Minors (17 and under) must be accompanied by a parent/guardian unless they are a student of Master McNally or Mrs Lolley. 
Venue: Unit 11 Oaklands Industrial Park, Lower Road, Hednesford, WS12 2UZ (Google Map)
Time: 10am – 2pm
What to Wear/Bring: Please wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothes that would allow you to spar or perform a pattern if you choose to do so. Please bring drinks and snacks and your sparring kit (if you wish to spar). Please bring note pad and pens.
What to Expect: The course comprises both classroom-based learning and practical sessions. No one has to spar if they don’t want to.
Additional Information:  Below is a link to download the rule book. It is required that you read it prior to attending the course. We highly recommend having it accessible on your phone or tablet during the session.
