DBS Checks
A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is essential for safeguarding vulnerable individuals, particularly children and vulnerable adults. It helps organisations make safer recruitment decisions by identifying individuals with a criminal history or those unsuitable for certain roles.
Taekwondo Council UK (TCUK) requires Enhanced DBS Checks for anyone working directly with children or vulnerable adults, such as coaches, instructors, and volunteers. These checks provide a thorough review of an individual’s criminal background and confirm they are not barred from working with vulnerable groups.
Enhanced DBS checks ensure a safe and secure environment within Taekwondo, promoting trust, professionalism, and the highest standards of safety.
