DBS Checks
At Taekwondo Council UK, safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is an essential requirement for all registered instructors, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
This background check provides crucial information about an individual’s criminal record, helping us create a secure and trusted environment for students of all ages, especially children and vulnerable individuals.
With a mandatory 3-year renewal policy, we are committed to upholding the most current safeguarding practices, fostering confidence and peace of mind for our members and their families.
By following these guidelines, Taekwondo instructors and clubs can ensure they meet the legal requirements and industry best practices for health and safety in the UK. The ongoing review and updating of risk assessments are crucial steps in ensuring a safe and secure environment for all participants. For further assistance or guidance on completing your risk assessment, please refer to the TCUK website or contact us directly.
