Inclusion

At Taekwondo Council UK (TCUK), we are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where individuals of all ages, abilities, backgrounds, and experiences are valued and supported. We aim to make Taekwondo accessible to everyone, including those with physical or mental disabilities, and are dedicated to promoting diversity and equity throughout our community. Our governance reflect this commitment, working to remove barriers and ensure equal opportunities for participation. We celebrate the unique contributions of every individual. Whether you are an experienced martial artist or new to the sport, TCUK is here to welcome, support, and empower you on your Taekwondo journey.

Inclusion works very closely with safeguarding to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all members of the Taekwondo community. Additional information regarding TCUK Safeguarding and policies can be found here.

Taekwondo Council UK (TCUK) is dedicated to promoting an inclusive, equitable, and welcoming environment where all individuals, regardless of their background, identity, or ability, can fully participate in Taekwondo. TCUK values diversity and actively works to eliminate barriers to inclusion, ensuring that every member and participant, including those with physical or mental disabilities, feels respected, supported, and empowered.

Taekwondo Council UK (TCUK) is fully committed to promoting best practices in inclusion across Taekwondo. To support this, we offer free Inclusion Workshops that are open to all and available nationwide. A £15 donation is recommended to help sustain these valuable initiatives.

We strongly encourage all instructors and officials to attend an initial in-person session, followed by a refresher course every three years, to maintain a thorough understanding and effective application of inclusive practices.

These workshops provide participants with essential tools and insights to help create a welcoming and equitable environment for all.

For information on upcoming workshops, please visit our Events Page.

If you are interested in hosting your own in-house Inclusion course with our tutor, funding and resources are available. Please contact us at chair@tkdngb.co.uk for more details.
