Guidance, Support & Resources for Safer Taekwondo Activity
Taekwondo Council UK (TCUK) is committed to helping promote safe, well-managed, and supportive environments for all participants, including students, instructors, officials, volunteers, and spectators.
Risk assessments help identify potential hazards, assess levels of risk, and support the implementation of appropriate control measures to help reduce the likelihood of injury or harm during Taekwondo activity, events, and related operations.
TCUK provides guidance and template resources to help affiliated clubs and organisers support safer practice, safeguarding awareness, participant welfare, and effective event management.
If any member, club, instructor, or participant requires further information or support relating to risk assessment or safety matters, please contact:
TCUK can provide guidance on completing suitable and proportionate risk assessments for classes, events, club activities, travel arrangements, venue use, and participant welfare considerations.
Support is available to help clubs and organisers think through practical control measures, safeguarding responsibilities, supervision arrangements, emergency planning, and wider health and safety considerations linked to Taekwondo activity.
If you are unsure which template or checklist is most appropriate for your activity, or you require advice on adapting a document for your own setting, please get in touch using the contact details shown here.

I joined the ITC originally in 2019 and have had the pleasure of watching it grow into what is now the TCUK. I have had nothing but support and encouragement. At a time where I was learning how to be a completely new and independent association, TCUK offered me a massive life line, especially for policies and ensuring I had all the paperwork necessary in place. They are easy to contact and talk to about any issues or problems and always go the extra mile.
I am very proud to say I am a member of the TCUK and recognise them as our NGB.
